Brian's Famous Chili Ingredients: 2 Lg cans of whole tomatoes (Cut each tomato into ~ 3-5 pieces) 1 Lg can of Rotel w/ chilis (Drained) 1 Lg can of crushed or diced tomatoes 1 medium can of tomato paste 2 Cans of Kidney Beans (Drained) 3 Lbs of lean hamburger 1 medium yellow onion 2-5 Tsp of Chili Powder (Depending on the heat level you like) 2 Tsp Onion Powder 3 Tsp Seasoning Salt (Lawry's is my favorite) 2 Tsp Garlic Powder 3 Tsp Fresh ground black pepper (I like to use varying courseness of grind) 1-3 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper (Depending on the heat level you like) Fresh Cilantro to taste (Optional) Instructions: Combine hamburger and Lawrys seasoning salt in a pan and brown the hamburger while breaking into small bite size chunks. Chop the medium onion. Place all the ingredients into a large crock pot and cook for 4-5 hours on low heat stirring 2-3 times per hour. Spoon into a bowl and enjoy! Variations: Add Fritos or tortilla chips to the bottom of the bowl prior to adding the chili. Also, add your favorite cheese to the top of the bowl of chili. |
